Cottonwood campground has 61 campsites and is the first campground you'll see if you enter from Joshua Tree National Park's south entrance. Each campsite has a parking pad area, picnic table, fire ring and grill. The campground has water, flush toilets, a picnic area and group camping. Cottonwood campground accepts reservations and is open year round.
Outdoor recreation includes camping, hiking, star-gazing, biking, wildlife viewing and exploring the many historic sites throughout Joshua Tree National Park. There are not any rocks/boulders to climb in this area, but there are some nice hiking trails from the campground.
