Gallo campground is located within Chaco Culture National Historic Park in Gallo Wash. This is a lowland desert area with canyon walls, boulders and arroyos. Gallo campground is unique in that it is surrounded by petroglyphs, a cliff dwelling and ancient inscriptions. Gallo campground has 48 campsites and each has a table, fire ring/grill. There are no trees or shade structures. The campground has a dump station, flush toilets from March through October, then vault. Drinking water is available, but there are no showers, stores, supplies or food services. The visitor center is located one mile from the campground.
