Gerstle Cove campground at Salt Point State Park has 30 beautiful campsites set on a bluff over the ocean. The campsites are large and all have paved pads. Each campsite also has a table, food locker, fire ring and grill. Campsites are reservable, and others are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Group camping is also available.
Salt Point State Park includes 6 miles of the Sonoma Coast. The terrain varies from sandy beach coves to steep bluffs and sandstone cliffs. Be sure to check out the large prairie and pygmy forest on top of the coast ridge. Outdoor recreation includes camping, hiking, biking, scuba/skin diving, boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, and photography.
