Maquoketa Caves State Park is a very popular attraction in Jackson County and especially for spelunkers. The park has more caves (13) than any other state park in Iowa and includes 370 acres set among hardwood trees and high bluffs. Hikers will love it here too with six miles to explore. Maquoketa Caves State Park campground has 27 campsites, some with electric hookups. Each campsite has a table and fire ring. The sites are spacious and well shaded by tall trees.
