McDowell Mountain Regional Park is nestled in the lower Verde River basin and includes 21,000 acres. There are over 50 miles of multiuse trails, spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges, and an abundance of wildlife to view. Primary outdoor recreation includes mountain biking riding, camping, horseback riding, stargazing, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The campground has 80 tent/RV campsites, a dump station, playground, flush toilets and hot showers. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. Group camping is available.
