Del Norte Redwoods State Park features 6,400 acres with approximately 50% old growth coast Redwood and 8 miles of wild coastline. The Park is a World Heritage Site & Biosphere Preserve. The Park offers visitors with a great experience to see the very large majestic trees on several hiking and nature trails. There is also an abundance of wildlife including bobcats, coyote, bear, deer, squirrels and a variety of birds. There is also ½ mile of sandy beach known as Wilson Beach or False Klamath Cove. Wilson Beach provides excellent opportunities to explore tide pools.
