Richardson Grove State Park is bisected by Highway 101 and the south fork of the Eel River. Outdoor recreation includes hiking, swimming, canoeing, fishing, biking, wildlife viewing and camping. Richardson Grove State Park is also where you will first encounter significant old growth redwood forest. The camping areas are located on both side of the highway/river in a beautiful redwood forest grove. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. The campground has a store, flush toilets and hot showers.
