Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located in the badlands of western North Dakota. The park is comprised of three areas: South Unit, North Unit and Elkhorn Ranch Unit. The Park has two main campgrounds – North Juniper and South Cottonwood, as well as an equestrian group campground (Roundup Group Horse Campground). The Park offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities including backcountry camping, biking, canoeing/kayaking in the Little Missouri River, fishing, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and cross-country skiing. It also has a nice visitor center and historic sites.
