Thornhill Broome Campground

Thornhill Broome Camping Guide

Sandwiched between the surf and PCH for nearly two of Point Mugu's five-mile coastline is Thornhill Broome Beach Campground. The campground is part of Point Mugu State Park and unlike Sycamore Canyon, this chain of 69 campsites is primitive: Amenities are limited to chemical toilets, roadside spigots every 100 yards or so and one fully exposed cold-water beach shower (near Campsite 47). There's also no shade at this campground.

Walking along the shore at sunset being followed by a family of jumping dolphins and walking up to the sparkling Pacific, with seagulls overhead and seals playing in the waves - OH MALIBU. We reserved this spot 7 months in advance, because if you want to camp here in the summer, when it is an absolute dream land, you MUST. With outhouses, fire pits and wood for sale ($7), you have all you need. We also climbed the Giant Sand Dune and summited Mugu Peak - both are so worth it. For more tips, trail info and awesome photos, check out our post here! Enjoy :) http://mrandmrsadventure.com/2014/07/30/amping-and-hiking-malibu/
