Wasatch Mountain State Park, in beautiful Heber Valley, is both a summer and winter destination. Soldier Hollow, the 2002 Olympic winter venue is located at the park's south end, and is open year-round for summer and winter activities, including biathlon, cross-country skiing, tubing, mountain biking, and hiking.
This is one of Utah's most popular state parks. It is located close to Salt Lake City and offers beautiful scenery and year-round activities. Here you can golf, hike, bike, camp, horseback ride, snowmobile, cross-country ski, and snowshoe. During warmer months, reserve a tee time at the popular Wasatch Mountain and Soldier Hollow golf courses. In winter, ski or snowmobile through the alpine terrain.
Park facilities include 139 camping sites. The Cottonwood loop has sites with full hookups and sites with water and power only. Mahogany loop is all full hook-ups. Oak Hollow has electricity and water only. Tents are only allowed in Oak Hollow. No tents allowed in Cottonwood and Mahogany. All loops have restrooms with showers. Little Deer Creek Campground is a primitive campground located about 15 miles away from the town of Midway. This area is not in the Pine Creek Campground at Wasatch. There is drinking water and restrooms with flush toilets available but no electricity.

Take I-80 east to US 40 or Heber Exit, travel about 17 miles to Heber, and take Highway 113 west to Midway- follow signs to the park. Note that the campgrounds are located in different areas of the park. Please check in at main office for more information.
Wasatch Mountain State Park is a nearly 22,000-acre preserve, which was set aside by the state in 1961.
The park provides year-round recreation, including camping, picnicking, hiking, golf, and off-highway vehicle and horseback riding. Park facilities include 139 camping/picnicking areas, two group-use pavilions, modern restrooms, hot showers and utility hookups. The chalet, a ranch-style building complete with kitchen facilities, is available for summer and winter group outings. The primitive Little Deer Creek campground is an excellent area for summer group parties and reunions. All camping is closed during winter months.

The 36-hole golf course has won numerous local and national awards for its good play and excellent course conditions. Golf, camping, picnicking, hiking, and horseback riding are popular warm weather activities. Winter brings snowmobilers, snowshoers, and cross-country skiers.
