Big Meadow campground is a beautiful little camping spot with 11 campsites along Rock Creek in the Inyo National Forest. The area offers a peaceful place to camp with great views of Rock Creek, towering pines and the Sierra Nevada mountains.  The campground is also a great place to stay if you want to fish for trout in the creek or hike in the mountains.

Big Meadow campground is first-come, first-serve (no reservations) and is generally open early June to late September (snow permitting). The campground has drinking water and flush toilets. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Our favorite Big Meadow campsites are 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.

Outdoor recreation includes fishing, mountain biking, backpacking, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Tuff campground is another camping option in the area.
