Located along Manzana Creek, Nira Campground has 12 single-family campsites suitable for tents, trailers and small RVs (up to 24 feet). Sites 1 to 3 are for tent/car camping only (no trailer or RV camping).  Keep in mind that the road to the campground is narrow and would be a challenge for horse/utility trailers. Most of the road is paved (about a mile dirt). Large oak trees also provide nice shade to most campsites.

Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection.  Horse hitching bars area also available. Water is not available. Cell service is not available in the area.

Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.  Campsites 8, 11 and 12 have a short walk (50-75 feet) from the parking area to the camping area.

Davy Brown campground is also nearby.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. There are also a few small “swimming” holes when the creek has enough water.
