CampsitePhotos.com kicked off summer with news that we would be adding new campgrounds weekly. Well, with the fall season upon us, we’re wrapping up our summer of campgrounds and believe it or not, throughout summer we brought you 36 new campgrounds. Below are the campsites we’ve added in Arizona, California and Nevada:

Arizona (10)

Canyon Point Campground
Only 5 miles east of Willow Springs Lake, Canyon Point makes a great base camp for extended trips when exploring the rim area.

Canyon Vista Campground
Located near Walnut Canyon and Lower Lake Mary, this campground has 11 single sites located in ponderosa pine, mixed conifer, aspen and oak.

Christopher Creek Campground
Set below the Mogollon Rim just off of S.R. 260, Christopher Creek campground has 43 units that are on both sides of the creek. The creek is stocked with rainbow trout early in the year as waters tend to recede throughout the summer months – making this an excellent campsite for fishing!

Dairy Springs
Located 24 miles south east of Flagstaff near Lake Mary at 7,000 feet, the campsites at Dairy Springs campground are scattered through cool groves of ponderosa pines and white firs.

Double Springs
Also located 24 miles south east of Flagstaff near Lake Mary at 7,000 feet, but not to be confused with Dairy Springs, these are also located in cool groves of ponderosa pines and white firs – both Double and Dairy Springs offer fishing in the nearby Mormon Lake.

Houston Mesa
Just north of Payson, Houston Mesa Campground has most of the facilities (RV’s included) one would want when camping close to a city. In 2006, Houston Mesa Campground was named one of the Top 100 Family Campgrounds in America!

Ponderosa Campground
Located 15 miles east of Payson on S.R. 260, and set just below the Mogollon Rim, Ponderosa Campground features nearby fishing, spacious campsites and the largest stand of ponderosa pines in the world.

Sinkhole Campground
Located in the ponderosa pine forest, this campground is within walking distance of Willow Springs Lake which provides boating, fishing, hiking and mountain biking opportunities.

Sharp Creek Campground
Sitting at 6,000 feet elevation, the 23 sites at Sharp Creek campground spread out in the forest near the tiny village of Christopher Creek. Snow level determines its opening date in the spring.

Upper Tonto Creek Campground
At the confluence of Tonto Creek and Horton Creeks, just 17 miles northeast of Payson, Upper Tonto Creek Campground offers easy access to fishing, as well as pine and oak forest near the Mogollon Rim.

California (1)

Boulder Basin Campground
Boulder Basin Campground has a “Q” configuration with campsites on top of the letter having a delightful vista while campsites on either side have tower boulders for a backdrop. Boulder Basin offers amazing hiking and mountain biking opportunities, and offers accessibility to Black Mountain Lookout Tower.

Nevada (2)
