  1. Jayme Smith says:

We went to Hell’s Crossing this past weekend 6/28/2013 for a family camping trip and could not possibly camp there. The ant problem was so bad it looked like the ground was moving. As I paced back and forth they were still climbing up my legs. The ants were covering all the open sites, camp tables, etc. We moved on down a few miles and found a great site elsewhere. Aside from the ants, it would not have been a bad place to stay. The restrooms were nice and clean.

  2. Heather James says:

We camped at Hell’s crossing for two weekends in a row (June 13th and 20th, 2014) because we enjoyed it so much our first time. Yes,there we some ants but they didn’t bother us. The campground is beautiful and right on the river. It is a great area to explore and hike. We will return again next year. The only downfall was that the campground does not have any drinking water available. You must bring your own which didn’t bother us since we were in a tent trailer.
