Rock Crossing Campground has 35 campsites and is located about 2 miles from Blue Ridge Reservoir in the Coconino National Forest. There are 33 single-family campsites (8 people max) and 2 double-family campsites (16 people max). The campground is generally open early May to late September.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), tent pad, fire ring and grill. There are no hookups. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection.  Cell service is not available in the area. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host.

Clints Well Campground (first-come, first-serve) is 8 miles away and Moqui Group Campground is about 5 miles away.

Rock Crossing – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Tonto Natural Bridge State park is also approximately 45 minutes away and offers what may be the world’s largest travertine bridge. The community of Happy Jack, Arizona has a gas station, two convenience stores and two restaurants.
