Black Oak Group Campground is located near Stumpy Meadows Reservoir and has 4 group campsites in the Eldorado National Forest. Reservations are required.

Group site #1 can accommodate up to 50 people (no trailers allowed). Site #2 is for self-contained vehicles only and up to 75 people can stay there. Group site #3 can have up to 50 people (no trailers), and group site #4 can have up to 25 people (no trailers). Vehicles must be kept in the central parking area for all sites. Pets are okay (on leash). Checkin time is 2pm and checkout time is 1pm.

Amenities include piped drinking water and vault toilets. Each group site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Food storage lockers (bear boxes) are also available.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating (5 mph limit), canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Ponderosa Cove (Group) and Stumpy Meadows.
