El Prado Group Campground has 5 large individual group campsites in a beautiful forest of pines and oaks in the Laguna Mountains of Cleveland National Forest.

Each group campsite can accommodate a varying number of guests ranging between 30 to 50 people. Big Sage group site can accommodate up to 36 people, Buckwheat up to 50 people, Manzanita up to 30 people, Whitethorn up to 30 people and Yerba Santa up to 32 people. Yerba Santa is also accessible. Each site also has a large parking area, tent camping areas, fire rings and grills. Trailers/RVs (up to 40 feet) are allowed.

Amenities include drinking water, flush, vault toilets and showers are available.  Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host over in Laguna Campground (adjacent to El Prado).

Area Recreation & Activities

The area is very popular for mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. In the spring and early summer there is usually a little lake located just a short distance from the campground and offers some nice photography.  Hikers, bikers and horseback riders can also access the Pacific Crest Trail.
