        Goood Morning.
I was wondering if you can give me some suggestions about first come and first serve sites.
I want to show my kids how more beautiful the nature can be with colors, so I’m planning to go up there for the fall color in late sept or early oct.
But in that time, every sites will become First Come First Serve sites.

So can you suggest me when (around what time) to arrive there to get a site for my family?
I’m planning to get there around 6am.
Is it too late to look for a site in the campground?

        please let me know.
        Thank you so much ^_^

      • Hi John,
You’ll love Four Jeffrey campground and the area – very beautiful. Hopefully you’ll catch some good fall colors too. That timeframe may be a tad early for fall colors, but you should still see some good stuff. You also need to keep an eye on the smoke. The area has had hazy/smoky days. Not terrible, but if wind shifts it could get worse or a little better. Plan on hazy smoke in the area though.

When you’re saying your planning to arrive at 6am is that on a Friday or Saturday? There should be availability on the weekend, but it’ll still be lots of campers up there. The smoke may turn some folks away though. Best to assure a campsite would be arriving Friday morning (by 10am).

I’d love to know what temperatures and weather I can expect at the campground during Memorial Day weekend at the end of May. Of course one can look up Bishop, but I’d like to know what to expect at the campsite since it is at 8100 elevation. Thanks!

    • Hi Nadia,
The late May-early June weather up at Four Jeffrey Campground will be around the mid-60s during the day and mid-30s during the night. Should be mostly sunny, but a rare late winter storm could come through the area.
