Gerstle Cove Campground (California)

Gerstle Cove Overview

Gerstle Cove 009

Gerstle Cove campground at Salt Point State Park has 30 beautiful campsites set on a bluff over the ocean.  The campsites are large and all have paved pads. Each campsite also has a table, food locker, fire ring and grill.  Campsites are reservable, and others are also available on a first-come-first-served basis.  The campground has drinking water and flush toilets. Group and hike/bike campsites are also available here.

Our favorite campsites at Gerstle Cove campground are: 6, 7, 9, 12 and 17.

Two other camping areas include Woodside Campground (Lower Loop: campsites 31-70 and Upper Loop: campsites 71-109). There are also 10 campsites sites available for campers on foot or bicycles. These sites are located behind the ranger office near Woodside Campground.
