Goodale Creek campground has 43 campsites located along the creek and below a scenic volcanic rock flow in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.  The campground is first-come, first-served and managed by the BLM.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.  Our favorite Goodale Creek campsites are: 17, 18, 19, 36, 37 and 39. The campground  has drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the campground host.

The area offers sweeping views of the mountains and Owens Valley and is popular for fishing, backpacking, hiking, mountain biking and wildlife viewing.

Spring and fall are ideal times for camping. However, summers can be very hot and dry. There are a few trees scattered throughout the campground offering some shade to a few campsites.

A few other campgrounds in the area are Taboose Creek, Tinnemaha Creek, Grays Meadow Upper, Grays Meadow Lower and Onion Valley.
