Markleeville campground is located right next to the East Fork of the Carson River and has 9 first-come first-serve campsites.  The sites are pretty small and best suited for tent camping or small trailers/RVs (sites 1, 2 and 10). Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate.  Campground amenities include water and vault toilets. There’s also a camp host (site 9).

Markleeville Area Recreation

Fishing is the main attraction, but other popular outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, ATVing and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Silver CreekGrover Hot Springs State Park, Kit Carson, Turtle Rock Park, Crystal Springs, and Indian Creek.
