Mono Hot Springs Campground has 31 campsites and next to the San Joaquin River above Kaiser Pass in the High Sierra. The delightful hot mineral baths are also nearby.
The campground is divided into two sections that are separated by Mono Hot Springs Resort. The campground does not have drinking water, but there are vault toilets and trash collection. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 25 feet). Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Cell service is rather spotty. The resort also has a general store and post office.
Other campgrounds in the area include Mono Creek, Rancheria and Vermillion.
The campground makes a great base for exploring the nearby Ansel Adams and John Muir Wilderness areas or for simply relaxing in the hot mineral baths and enjoying the scenery. Other activities include fishing, kayaking, tubing, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
