Northwind Campground has 9 first-come, first-serve campsites and is located on the shore of beautiful Ice House Reservoir in the Eldorado National Forest.

The campground is generally open mid-May to mid-October. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection.  Parking spurs and camp roads are paved. Piped (potable) water is not available, but you can filter the nearby lake water.  A dump station and boat ramp are available at nearby Ice House Campground. A few overflow parking spaces are available. Cell service is poor in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grate.

Other campgrounds in the area include Strawberry Point, Ice House and Silver Creek Group.
