  1. I would like to know if there is a cancelation fee if for whatever reason we have to cancel a reservation?

    • Hi Johnny,
      Here is Recreation.gov cancellation fee/info:
Cancelling a Reservation: Customers may cancel their reservation prior to arrival both on-line and through the call center. A $10 service fee will be withheld from any refund for a cancellation. Depending on when you cancel in relation to your arrival day, it may be considered a late cancellation (More Info).

  2. I stayed 4 days, 3 nights. Was very quiet 1st night. 2nd night scouts showed up. Very disappointed in this about group. Most wore VERY bright headlights. There lights were extremely annoying. They could try the low setting. I was there to watch nature and see the stars. The camp host was good enough to let me move to a vacant spot away from the scout my 3rd night. I saw a few and took photographs of birds and squirrels. Very relaxing.

  3. Hello,
I’m finding conflicting info for this campground, are there walk up sites available, or is it even open? Any info would be much appreciated, trying to stay tomorrow night, July 12, 2021. Thanks!

  4. I see that there is a limit of 2 cars per site. Is there overflow parking at the campground?

  5. Hi, how many tents maximum may we set up at a single site (8 people)?

  6. I drove by Oak Grove Campground on May 25th 2022 and the Campground was CLOSED. Entry not permitted.
Sad because I grew up Camping with my Parents there.
The Campground was once a well maintained place to Camp but several years ago, one of the loops (Chamise)was closed.
It would be nice if funds could re-open the entire three loops, re-pave, fix toilets, etc..

  7. Is bike riding allowed on the trails?
    Thank you. ~Karen

    • Hi Karen,
There are some fire roads in the area that are decent for mountain biking. I’m not sure if the trails right around the campground are okay (allowed) for biking riding. You can pick up the Old Grove Truck Trail off Highway 79 (about 1/4 mile south of the campground). These eventually turns into a dirt road and climbs way up in the hills. You can also check out the Trailforks website for more mountain biking roads/trails in the area.
