Owl Canyon Campground has 31 single-family campsites tucked among white limestone hills and near the Rainbow Basin Natural Area. Two group campsites are also available (one also has equestrian facilities/ stalls). All campsites are first-come, first-serve.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, shade Ramada, fire ring and BBQ. Campground amenities include drinking water (one water spigot), vault toilets and trash collection. There are also a few playgrounds in the campground.

Owl Canyon – Area Recreation

There are some nice desert hiking trails accessible from the campground and in nearby Rainbow Canyon Natural Area. Hikers can explore a diverse landscape of hills, canyons, washes, multicolored rock walls and mesas. There are also a few auto touring routes (high-clearance vehicle recommended) in the are including Rainbow Basin, Fossil Canyon Loop Road and Coon Canyon.  Other activities include picnicking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and star gazing.
