Ponderosa Cove (Group) Campground is close to the scenic Stumpy Meadows Reservoir and can accommodate up to 75 people. The group camping area includes a single loop of several campsites.

Five of the camping sites/spurs are okay for trailers & RVs. There are also 10 walk-to tent sites in the loop (parallel parking for each site). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water (faucets), vault toilets, food storage lockers (bear boxes) and an RV sanitation dump station. There is also a kitchen area with BBQs.

Checkin time is 2pm and checkout is 1pm. Pets are okay and the maximum vehicle length is 45 feet.

Area Recreation & Activities

The group camping area is just north of the Stumpy Meadows Reservoir boat ramp. Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park is also worth a visit (about 28 miles from the campground).

Black Oak (Group) Campground and Stumpy Meadows Campground are also in the area.
