Ponderosa Campground has 21 campsites situated next to the Nacimineto River in the Los Padres National Forest. Campsites also have good shade from a canopy of Ponderosa Pine, Oak, Madrone and Sycamore Trees.

There are 19 reservable sites and 2 first-come, first-serve sites. Check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 12pm. Generators are okay from 7am to 10pm. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (15 to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Amenities include drinking water (March through November), vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is not available.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes swimming, wading, fishing, hiking, mountain biking,  backpacking, horseback riding, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
