Recreation Point Group Campground has 7 sites and is in a partially shaded cove at the north end of Bass Lake. It has 5 (tent-only) campsites and 2 picnic (day use) sites for groups ranging from 30-50 people and 50-100 people. Trailers or RVs are not permitted in the campground.

Acorn Site: up to 50 people and 16 vehicles
Cove Site: up to 50 people and 25 vehicles
Knoll Site: up to 30 people and 10 vehicles
Lagoon Site: up to 30 people and 10 vehicles
Oak Point Picnic (day use only): up to 50 people and 25 vehicles
Scout Site: up to 45 people and 15 vehicles
South Park Picnic (day use only): up to 50 people and 50 vehicles

Recreation Point is open year round. Each campsite has a water faucet, picnic tables and a large pedestal grill. The picnic areas have tables and grills. Fire pits and restrooms with flush toilets are also available. Cell service is fair in the area.

Other Bass Lake Area campgrounds include Cedar Bluff, Forks, Lupine, Spring Cove and Wishon Point. The town of Oakhurst is also about 8 miles away and has stores, gas stations and shops.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, water sports, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Yosemite National Park is also about an hour away.
