Saddlebag Lake campground is located way up in the high-country at 10,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada mountain range next to the lake. There are 20 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. One group campsites is also available. Individual campsites are first-come, first-serve, but you can make group camping reservations.

The campground has potable water and vault toilets. Each campsite also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate.

Group camping is also available at Trailhead Group (aka Saddlebag Lake Group) campground. It has 1 group site that accommodates up to 25 people.

All of the campsites have beautiful views of Saddlebag Lake and the surrounding mountains. The area offers fantastic fishing and hiking. Many species of wildlife call the mountains home, such as black bear, mountain lions, mule deer, pine marten, pika and numerous fish and birds.

Other nice campgrounds in the area include Moraine, Aspen (Aspen Grove), Big Bend, Ellery Lake Campground, Junction, Trumbull Lake and Tioga Lake.
