Sierra Campground is located 7 miles north east of Sierra City and has 16 single-family campsites next to the North Yuba River in the Tahoe National Forest. Some campsites are just a few feet from the river (like #8).

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (16 to 80 feet, but most in 30-40 foot range). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include vault toilets. No potable (drinking) water is available, but you can purify the river water for drinking/cooking. Cell service is not available.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, OHVing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. And make sure you jump on the back of the dino-tree for a photo opportunity!

Loganville Campground is also nearby.
