Wrights Beach does not have showers or dump station. They are located at the Bodega Dunes Campground, 5 miles South Hwy 1.

Cannot visit website to make reservations. Help.

  3. Hi Andrea, The link to ReserveCalifornia (to check availability and make reservations at Wrights Beach/Sonoma State Beach) is working from the Wrights Beach campground page. You can also click on the link below to go directly to ReserveCalifornia: https://www.reservecalifornia.com/CaliforniaWebHome/Facilities/AdvanceSearch.aspx

  4. Kellee Perez says:

Cannot make reservation on reserve America! When I put in the name of he Campground it corrects to Wrightwood no matter what I do. When I call I get a busy signal

    Help!

  5. Danielle says:

How many, and which campsites are first come first served?

    • Hi Danielle,
There are not any first-come, first-serve campsites at Wright Beach campground.
When the campground is full, the overflow area on either side of the kiosk may be used for self-contained vehicles on a first come, first served basis (one night only).

  6. Samantha Schoettgen says:

I’m trying to book on ReserveCalifornia within the 6 months and everything is red, indefinitely. I called and they don’t seem to know why. Does Wright’s Beach ever have a time period during which it’s first come first serve or do they close seasonally?

    • Hi Samantha,
All Wrights Beach campsites are reservable, and if the campground is full, the overflow area on either side of the kiosk may be used for self-contained vehicles on a first come, first served basis (one night only). Reservations are recommended on weekends, holidays and during the peak (summer) season. The campground will fill up quickly – 6 months in advance. Not sure why ReserveCalifornia is showing ‘red’ (sold out) during winter months as usually there is some availability during the off season.

      • What is the booking window?

      • Hi Christi,
Wrights Beach campground (Sonoma Coast State Park) reservations are handled by ReserveCalifronia.com. They operate on a 6-month window, so the first time you can try and make reservations is 6 months (to the day) prior to your day of arrival. For example, if you intend to arrive July 1, then the first day you can try and make reservations is on January 1 (8AM PST). Keep in mind that popular campgrounds will sell out quickly (within minutes) – especially in the summer and on weekends.

  7. David Beals says:

None of the above listed links work. Wrights Beach isn’t listed on Reserve CA. You get redirected to other campgrounds.

    • Hi David,
Thanks for the heads up on the link. We updated the link for Wrights Beach campground (and Bodega Dunes campground) at Sonoma Coast State Park. After you click on the ‘Make A Reservation’ button you’ll be directed to ReserveCalifornia. Once there, click on the Sonoma Coast State Park reservations button. Or you can click HERE to go direct.

  8. Allicyn2324@yahoo.com says:

Why do people say site 17 is not good?

  9. I noticed on reserve California it gives a height max of 10’. Our trailer is 10’6”. Is this true?
Also, site 4 states 27’ pad but then also says campsite 20’ deep. So which one is it? We have a 27’ trailer!

    • Hi Jen,
The site measurements on RserveCalifornia are approximate. The height probably refers to the low lying branches/trees throughout the area. If it says 10′, your trailer should be fine. The (parking) pad length measurement refers to the area where you’ll park your vehicle/trailer so if site #4 is 27′, then a 27′ trailer will fit. The 20′ campsite depth refers to the table/fire ring area. Hope this helps!

  10. Colette Lenoir says:

I used to be able to see a list of dates available for campsites ar Wrights beach. Now it’s impossible to get to that page. What is going on?

    • Hi Colette,
You can find the available dates information on ReserveCalifornia.com. Once there, enter ‘Sonoma Coast State Park’, enter a date and then the ‘show results’ button. You’ll see two campground options (Bodega Dunes and Wrights Beach). Click on the Wrights Beach option. From there you can scroll through the calendar by clicking on the ‘Next Week’ tab (see screen shot / picture below) to see if there are any available campsites in the future. Hope this helps!
