Summerdale Campground has 29 single-family campsites for tents, trailers and RVs located in a pretty meadow, surrounded by a forest of fir, cottonwood and cedar trees. The campground is in the Sierra National Forest just 1.5 miles from Yosemite National Park.

Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Firewood is also available for sale from the campground host. Cell service is poor.

Summerdale – Area Recreation & Activities

Nearby Big Creek offers some excellent fishing. Other outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  And of course Summerdale is a great base camp to explore Yosemite and also hike through the giant Sequoias.

Wawona is the closest campground within Yosemite National Park.
