Tule Recreation Area Campground has 104 single family campsites and is located on the northeastern shore of Success Lake in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Tule is open year-round and has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a sanitation dump station.  When the lake water is up, there’s also a marina and boat rentals.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (40 to 80 feet). Thirty-one campsites have electric hookups including 1-6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18-24, 27, 29, 32,34, 50, 52, 54, 56, 92, 94, 95, 97 and 99.  Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. There are some trees in the campground that provide a little shade to some of the campsites.

There are lots of outdoor recreational activities in the area including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, hiking, biking, hunting and wildlife viewing. There’s also a playground, picnic area and boat ramps at the facility. Campfire programs are all the rage on Saturday nights during the summer.

Horse Creek Recreation Area campground is also in the neighborhood. It’s about 45 miles away and has 77 campsites available.
