Upper Oso Campground has 10 single-family campsites that are located next to a seasonal creek in the Los Padres National Forest. There are also about 12 equestrian campsites available.

The campground is usually open April through November. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host.

Upper Oso – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  The Santa Ynez River is also about 1/2 mile away from the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area are Cachuma Lake, Fremont, Paradise, Sage Hill Group and Los Preitos.
