White Tank Overview

White Tank campground is first-come first-served and has 15 campsites located in the heart of Joshua Tree National park. The campground tends to draw the fewest visitors, though the scenery and surroundings compare to any other campground in the park.

Campsites can accommodate campsites tents, trailers and RVs (up to 25 feet). Each campsite also has a dirt parking pad, picnic table, fire ring and grill. The campground does not have water. Vault toilets are available.

Outdoor recreation include camping, hiking, biking, rock climbing, bouldering, star-gazing and wildlife viewing. There are also many nearby historic sites to explore in the area.

Other Joshua Tree National Park campgrounds to consider include Ryan, Jumbo Rocks, Indian Cove, Hidden Valley, Belle, Black Rock Canyon, and Cottonwood.
