Matchless Campground has 14 first-come, first-serve campsites and is located on the eastern shore of Turqouise Lake at 10,000 feet in elevation. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and large RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. You can have up to 2 vehicles and 8 people per campsite. Check in time is 2pm and check out is 12pm.

Amenities include potable (drinking water) and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. A boat ramp and parking area is adjacent to the campground.  No (trailer/RV) tank fill ups are allowed. Generators are allowed from 6am to 10pm.

Matchless – Area Recreation

The campground offers easy access to boating and fishing on Turquoise Lake. Hikers will like the 6.4-mile Turquoise Lake Trail. Other activities include mountain biking, backpacking, swimming, picnicking, hunting, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. The historic mining town of Leadville is also worth a visit!

Other campgrounds in the area include Baby Doe, Tabor, Father Dyer, Printer Boy, Belle of Colorado, Molly Brown, Silver Dollar, May Queen and Sugar Loafin’.
