Middle Mountain Campground has 24 campsites and is located next to the Vallecito Reservoir in the San Juan National Forest. The campground is open and sunny, with a grassy shoreline and delightful afternoon breezes. Some sites also have shade from towering ponderosa pines and small aspen trees.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 45 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities includes drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection.  You can also gather firewood in the area.  Generators are okay from 6am to 10pm. Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds by the Vallecito Reservoir include North Canyon, Graham Creek, Pine Point and Vallecito.

Area Recreation & Activities

Vallecito Reservoir offers great fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. Other activities in the area include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
