Silver Queen Campground has 6 campsites campsites and is located near Maroon Creek in the Maroon Bells Scenic Area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Five of the sites are reservable and one is first-come, fist-serve.  Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill.Amenities include vault toilets, trash collection and drinking water. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

The Maroon Bells Scenic Area is surrounded by the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness. Towering over glacial valleys at over 14,000 feet in elevation, the Maroon Bells are the most recognizable peaks in the Elk Mountains.

Visitors can enjoy backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, horseback riding and fishing. Wildlife viewing is also great with opportunities to see bighorn sheep, deer, bear and other forest creatures. The town of Aspen is a short drive if you need supplies or like to do a little shopping.

 Silver Bell or Silver Bar campgrounds are also in the area.
