F.W. Kent Park Campground has 86 single-family campsites with 20/30/50 amp electric service. It is open from mid-April through October. Youth group camping is also available. All campsites are first-come, first-serve.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, showers, a dump station and WiFi. Cell service reception is good. There’s also a playground, picnic shelters,

Area Recreation & Activities

The 1,052 acres provide numerous recreational opportunities and is a premier place to view native Iowa tall grass prairie. Outdoor recreation includes birding, hiking, biking, picnicking, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also enjoy cross-country skiing in the winter.

You may also like Roberts Creek Park, Winterset City Park and Pammel State Park.
