North Shore – Sawtooth NRA campground is locate in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area along the shores of Alturas Lake and has 15 single-family campsites. The campsites are first-come, first-serve and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Most have nice views of the lake.

Campsites also have a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. A boat ramp is also nearby. Cell service is poor in the area.

North Shore – Sawtooth NRA – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, water sports, and wildlife viewing. You can even go scuba diving in the crystal clear water. In the winter you can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Alturas Lake Inlet and Smokey Bear campgrounds are also located next to Alturas Lake.
