I try to take the grand kids camping at Greenbrier every couple of years. It’s close home and has great facilities. The day use area usually fills up on summer weekends so go early if you want a picnic spot. The park will shut the gates if the parking lot fills up. This is not a campground for peace and quiet on summer weekends. Every 1/2 hour or so management empties the swimming areas and tells everyone to find their family members and count noses or whatever. Management does this with a very loud speaker system that can be heard at least 2 camping loops away. Other than that it’s fun for the kids.

Nice park, we stayed here overnight on the way to the shore. Restrooms, at least in Loop C are in dire need of remodeling and updating. At the very least some improved lighting, some paint and a good cleaning with some bleach.
Other than that, nice park. We liked it so much we have booked two nights in September in order to explore a bit further.

  3. Restrooms in C Loop need updating! Very old and run down. Everything else at Greenbrier SP is really great. PLEASE update the bath house in C loop.
