Rocky Gap State Park campground has 278 campsites (30 with electric hookups) and is located next to beautiful Lake Habeeb in western Maryland. Mini cabins, yurts and group camping area also available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 60 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Parking spurs are gravel. Campground amenities include drinking water, bathhouses (with hot water), trash collection and a dump station. The park also has a nature center, swim beach, boat ramp, boat trailer lot, snack shack and camp store. Canoe, kayak and SUP rentals are available at the camp store. Pet’s are okay in camp loops Ash, Birch, Chestnut, Dogwood and Elm. Cell service is also fair in the area.

Rocky Gap State Park – Group Camping

The family group site offers space for up to 40 people to camp together. The group site includes a two-story mini cabin with electric, as well as six 30 amp electric hookups and a group fire ring. Bathhouses are located in the adjacent camp loops. The two youth group camping areas are also available.

Rocky Gap State Park – Mini Cabins & Yurts

here are 15 mini cabins located throughout the campground. They sleep either four or six people. The yurt accommodates 8 people and has an adjoining camp pad to increase the total site capacity to 15 people. Each has electricity (no water) and beds. Users must provide their own linens. Air conditioning and heat are not available.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, water sports, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
