Kilen Woods State Park Campground has 33 single-family campsites set among large trees and close to the Des Moines River. There are 33 drive-in sites, 3 pull-through sites, 11 sites with electric hookups, and 4 walk-in sites.

Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVS. Each site also has a table, grill and fire ring. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and showers. There’s also a picnic area and shelter, volleyball court and horseshoes. Firewood is also available for sale through self-service.

Kilen Woods State Park – Area Recreation

The Des Moines River flows through the Park offering opportunities for fishing, hiking, canoeing, and enjoying the wildlife in the oak forest, meadows and prairie. Other activities include picnicking, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking and biking.
