Lake Shetek State Park Campground has 70 single-family campsites (64 electric) and is located next to beautiful Lake Shetek. Smith Lake and Park Lake are also nearby. Campsites 1 to 38 are shaded and 39-70 have little or no shade

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 72 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. There is also one group site, 4 cabins and primitive (tent camping) at park Lake.

Campground amenities include drinking water, showers, flush toilets and a seasonal dump station. The park also has a picnic area (and shelter), playground, volleyball, horseshoes, fishing pier, swimming beach and boat access. A warming house is also available in the winter. Boat, canoe and kayak rentals are available as well.

Lake Shetek State Park – Area Recreation

Lake Shetek State Park has the largest lake in southwestern Minnesota and offers some great fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. Other activities include swimming, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great here with opportunities to see pelicans (“Shetek” is the Ojibwe word for “pelican”), deer, for, mink beaver and other forest creatures.
