Doughton Park campground has 132 campsites (9 tent only) and is nestled in a landscape of mountains and meadows along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabins are also available for rent.

Each campsite has a lantern post, table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, trash collection and a sanitation dump station. The Park also has picnic areas and a visitor center.  Cell service is fair in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Doughton Park encompasses 7,000-acres of rolling ridge top meadows and steep mountainsides.  Outdoor recreation includes picnicking, camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, motor touring and plenty of wildlife viewing.  The famous Blue Ridge Parkway travels 469 miles from Shenandoah National Park in Virginia to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina.

Stone Mountain State Park campground is another option. It is 31 miles away and has 88 campsites.
