Branched Oak Lake State Recreation Area offers two campgrounds located next to the lake in the beautiful Salt Valley area of Nebraska. Middle Oak Creek campground has 187 single-family campsites. The campground recently added electrical hookups to the lakeside loop (sites 80 to 106). South Shore campground has 121 single-family campsites, all with electrical hookups and there are many right on the lake. All campsites at both campgrounds have a table and fire ring.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, camp host and a dump station. There is also a boat ramp, dock, fishing cleaning station, marina, horse corral, picnic area, playground and camp store.
