Fremont State Recreation Area campground has 106 campsites and is one of eastern Nebraska’s most popular recreation areas. There are 88 sites with electric hookups and 21 tent-only sites. Group camping is also available. Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs and most are close to a small (sandpit) lake. The Platte River is also nearby.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. The park also has a boat ramp, fish cleaning station, picnic area/shelter and camp store.
Fremont State Recreation Area – Outdoor Activities
Outdoor recreation at the park includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, jet skiing, water skiing, picnicking, beach volleyball and sailing. Wildlife viewing is also nice here.
