Acorn Woman Lakes Campground has 15 hike-to campsites located along the shores of two mountain lakes in the Applegate Recreation Area. There are 10 individual campsites and 5 group campsites (3-4-5, 6-7-8, 16, 17 and 19). All sites are designated for tent-only camping. Campsites are reservable mid May through November and first-come, first-serve (free) other times of the year.

The vehicle parking area is about 1/4 mile to the closest campsite and 1.5 miles from the furthest. Transportation of gear is available (via ATV) from the camp host at $25 per trip (as of 2023). All gear/trash must be packed in/0ut. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include vault toilets and drinking water (via hand pump – near site #2) from mid May through November. Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Jackson Campground at Applegate River (2 miles) and Beaver Sulphur (5 miles).

Acorn Woman Lakes is very popular, but you’ll find an abudnace of peace and solitude. You can also enjoy fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, swimming, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
