Cape Perpetua Campground Siuslaw National Forest Oregon

2200 Hwy 101 S
Yachats, Oregon 97498

Cape Perpetua Campground has 39 single-family campsites and is nestled along the banks of Cape Creek and near the Oregon Coast.  One group site is also available. The campground is esteemed for its incredible location between the forest and beach. Campers can easily access some impressive hiking trails offering prime ocean views.

Campsites seem best suited for tents rather than trailers or large RVs, there are numerous sites that will fit mid-size trailers. The larger (trailer) sites are not very level though and include sites 5-9, 12-14 (parallel), 211-30, and 36-38..  All the campsites are on the south side of the campground road so they get very little sun being in a thick forest.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Trailer & RV sites can having parking spurs ranging from 20 to 60 feet, but most are in the 40-45 foot range.  Tent only campsites include 4, 10, 12-16, 18 and 31-33. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Amenities include drinking water and (very clean) restrooms with flush toilets. The Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is also a short hike from the campground. Firewoods is also available for purchase from the camp host (site #2). The nearest dump station can be found in Waldport (12 miles north of campground). You can also find a dump station 12 miles south at Carl G. Washburn State Park.

Other campgrounds in the area include Tillicum Beach (6 miles), Rock Creek (7 miles), Canal Creek (12 miles), Alder Dune (15 miles), Blackberry (15 miles) and Sutton (16 miles).

No pictures to see, even though you advertise it! What kind of site does that? NO GOOD

    • Hi Disillusioned Camper,
Thanks for recommending Cape Perpetua Campground. We will definitely get that on our list to photograph and hopefully later this year. So far we’ve photographed each campsite in about 2,300 campgrounds throughout the country, but still many more to get! Appreciate your help.
