Cove Palisades State Park is located in Central Oregon and encompasses the Crooked River and Deschutes River Canyons, including Lake Billy Chinook. There are 268 campsites in two developed campgrounds including Crooked River Campground (82 campsites in loop E) and Deschutes River (180 campsites in loops A, B and C). There are also 3 deluxe cabins available to rent over by the marina. Pets are okay to stay in the cabins. Three group campsites are also over by Deschutes campground.

Crooked River Campground campsites have water & electric hookups. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There is also a volleyball court and walking trails.

Deschutes River Campground has 87 full hookup sites (loops A&C) and 93 tent sites (loop B). Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and hot showers. There’s also a fenced-off pet exercise area, playground and hiking trails.

Other amenities at the park include a marina (with boat rentals), store, cafe, three boat ramps (Lower Deschutes, Upper Deschutes and Crooked River), 21 reservable boat moorages, picnic/day use areas and numerous hiking trails.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreating includes boating, fishing, kayaking, swimming, jet skiing, water skiing, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Haystack Reservoir (East Shore) Campground, Haystack West Shore Campground, Perry South and  Monty Campground.
